Brendan Kelly, Professor Emeritus University of Toronto
On his blog on Quora space Intelligence and IQ , Brendan posts answers to a variety of questions on intelligence. This site has over 45,000 followers and his posts have over 8,000,000 views. Brendan is Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto, where he received his Ph.D. in mathematics (number theory) and his doctorate in education (Ed.D.) specializing in computer applications.
With doctorates in both the natural sciences and the humanities, he has a unique perspective on both the measure and the manifestations of high intelligence. Dr. Kelly has authored more than 50 books, some published in several languages, spanning the fields of mathematics, science, and psychology, and is a sought-after speaker who has presented at more than 100 conferences. In 1989, Brendan incorporated Brendan Kelly Publishing Inc., a company dedicated to the human intellect. To that end, he recruited some brilliant authors including Professors Ravi Vakil (Stanford University) and Don Fraser (University of Toronto) as well as entrepreneur, Dr. Gene Landrum, co-founder of the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant chain, and investment gurus E. Michael Kilbourn and Brad Galbraith. You will find their books on this website.
From September 2014 through March 2021, Professor Kelly was researching and writing his latest books titled, Intelligence: Where we Were, Where we Are, and Where we’re Going (published in 2019) and Intelligence, IQ, & Perception: Unpopular Truths about Popular Myths (published in 2021).
In 2024, Professor Kelly published three books for teaching mathematics with the TI-84 Plus CE Graphing calculator.
