Steven Spielberg: He was Made to Make Movies

Steven Spielberg 1946 –

Steven Allan Spielberg was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 18, 1946 and grew up in Phoenix, AZ. He is a prodigious American film director, producer, and screenwriter who became a household name for directing widely successful movies like Jaws,  Jurassic Park Schindler’s List, and many others. In 2021, he released the musical West Side Story that has already been nominated for numerous awards.

His  current movie, The Fabelmans, is partly based on his own life, telling the story of his early decision to enter the film making industry–a medium he used to communicate with a world that he had difficulty confronting on a personal level.

I never felt comfortable with myself, because I was never part of the majority. I always felt awkward and shy and on the outside of the momentum of my friends’ lives.
